We sweat together, jump in the lake and have something warm to drink after. That is all it takes.

Luka leads every session. You do not need to know anyone or bring anything except a towel.

How a session works

  1. Empty wooden sauna with towel, bucket and candle

    Arrive

    Towel, water, a spot on the bench.

    We meet at the entrance and go in together.

  2. Sunlight falling through a window onto the sauna benches

    Sweat

    Two or three rounds, whatever feels good.

    Nobody has to tough it out. Step out when it is enough.

  3. Slide from a jetty into the lake

    Cool down

    Into the lake, then something warm.

    This is where we talk, laugh or just sit quietly.

Who is behind it

Hi, I am Luka.

I have been into sports my whole life and hold a bachelor in sports training and science. I cycle, do calisthenics, snowboard and skate. Along the way I learned how important recovery and a rested mind are. That is why I started Sauna Community Luzern.

I lead every session myself. I book a session for us at the Popup Sauna at Strandbad Lido, make sure everything is ready, and I am there from hello at the entrance to the jump in the lake.

You do not need to know anyone. Just come by and say hi.

Who can join?

Everyone. Student or CEO, new in Lucerne or here for years. You do not need to know anyone.

What does it cost?

Joining is free. You only pay your share of the session rent. Expect about CHF 10 to 15 per person, depending on how many people come.

How do I sign up?

Join our WhatsApp group and say which session you want to come to. Once enough people are in, I book the sauna.

What do I need to bring?

A towel. That is all.

I have never been to a sauna. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Nobody has to tough it out. Step out when it is enough and do as many rounds as feel good.

Is the sauna yours?

No. The sauna belongs to Popup Sauna GmbH. We book a session there and sweat together.
